The plant

Mursalski tea also also known by the name Mountain Tea (Sideritis scardica) is a plant of the family “Lamiaceae”. The plant is a perennial, reaching 0.5 height and it mainly grows in the area of Mursalitsa the Rhodope village Mugla. Its leaves are fleshy and covered with moss. Mursalski tea blooms during the whole summer with small yellow flowers. During the months of June-July, the aerial parts of the mountain tea are harvested.
